Episode 1 - continued

well,ready for the next installment??
here goes...........

The worst part (the journey) having been just begun, my mind idled around trying to find something remotely interesting in the lift's insides. It was a false hope, because all i could see was people's hair and faces. None that were interesting enough to warrant a second glance.I am absolutely sure that my fellow passengers thought the same about me. The lift stopping at every floor, to accomodate the evening out flow, did nothing to decrease the unease. There is just no escape from the faces, cos u even get reflections from all the surfaces of the lift(reminds me of the "Enter the Dragon" ka climax).Thats y i tend to look up towards the fan (the most entertaining side of the cube)The silence is unbelievable and complete...............

A new ray of sunshine(or i thought so) crept in.In one of the lower floors,a new entrant seemed to recognize another inmate(the first time ever, gosh i was happy). But nothing followed after a quick greeting. Can u imagine being in 4*4*9 (and yeah, i measured the dimensions) feet lift with 14 ppl around u and the only thing audible is my best friend(The fan,if u thought it was something remotely resembling a human).

Atleast their are brass holders which my fingers have a habit of tapping. Finally, the ground floor arrives.I am thankful that the lift cant go any further down.............
As the people trickle out of the lift,I make sure that i am the last one to leave, so as to avoid the treatment that the others recieved wen i entered the lift.("The stampede" if u r groping in the dark for the TREATMENT concerned)

I eventually make my way out, taking care not to be caught in the fresh incoming crowd.
(This is where the BMTC commando training helps)coming out, i hope something changes in my next sojourn, but sure enough, the same feelings are experienced.

MORAL OF THE STORY: TAKE THE STAIRS (GOOD FOR HEALTH- SO I'VE HEARD)
